On 30 August, the Archdiocese of Colombo solemnly celebrated its Annual Sick Day Blessing at the Basilica of Our Lady of Lanka, Tewatta.

The theme chosen for the day was: “Through Mary, Our Mother, Let Us Be Healed in Christ.”

The Annual Sick Day Blessing at Tewatta continues to be a profound occasion of faith, prayer, and consolation, bringing together the sick, the elderly, and their families from across the country. It offers them an opportunity to encounter the healing mercy of Christ and to find comfort and hope through the loving maternal care and intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
