The first training program for the animators of the Holy Childhood Society of the Archdiocese of Colombo was held on the 16th and 17th of May 2026 at the John Paul II Centre, Ma Eliya, with the participation of 75 animators.

On Sunday the 17th, the Holy Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Basil Rohan Fernando The National Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies. Following the Holy Mass, certificates were awarded to the animators who successfully completed the first training programme.
