On Saturday, 2025-05-24, the Archdiocese of Colombo rejoiced as two brothers were ordained to the Diaconate. Rt. Rev. Dr. Maxwell Silva, Auxiliary Bishop of Colombo, presided over the sacred liturgy held at the Sacred Heart Chapel of the Archbishop’s House.
Rev. Bro. Shehan Bryan and Rev. Bro. Roy Jeffrey were ordained as deacons in the presence of their formators, family members, clergy, and well-wishers. This significant step marks their final stage of preparation for the priesthood, as they now begin their ministry of service at the altar, in the proclamation of the Word, and among the people of God.
The Archdiocese gives thanks to God for the gift of vocations and continues to pray for these newly ordained deacons as they embark on this sacred path of service.
